The Academic Year Ends

Early in May we attended the annual CEC (Civil Engineering and Construction) Awards Banquet for Bradley University.  Bob received the Outstanding Faculty award for his department.  I am so proud of him because he works so hard and is very good at what he does.  One of his former students received the award for Outstanding Alumni.  This makes a person look back on a long career, which is not over yet!  It is always fun for me to meet students and hear them tell him how much they appreciate him as a professor.

Now I am just trying to convince him to actually take some time off after working 70 hour weeks all semester!  If only the students knew that the faculty put in more hours than they do!

This was the marauding band of teenage male turkeys that attacked our windows downstairs!
I chased them away and then the ringleader came to peck at the window while the 3 others watched from the sidelines.  So typical.

Getting Back into the Groove

Last year at this time I was mourning the loss of my dad.  After this time I have only written once in this blog and have thought of closing it. It takes a lot of energy and time to get my podcast together each week and it seems I don't have a lot to say beyond that.  Still, there are things that are more of a family nature that don't belong in that blog.  My plan is to post at least once a week even if it is just a few photos.

The last week in April I visited Mom and then went with Charr and Bronwyn to Camp KIP in New Haven MO.
